Turn down the fall damage
It used to be funny, but now it's just irritating and immersion breaking. Dude can't even fall 8 feet without losing half his health. Falling is more dangerous than the monsters

You win again gravity!

Gehrults bones have gotten a lot more brittle since TW2. He mad huge drops in TW2 like nobodies business.
Wait till you get into a witcher contract where you drop on top of a boss enemy and have to fight that one with 5% hp xD
G-Kast May 25, 2015 @ 8:31pm
i agree the fall damage is insanely annoying.
DiscoMoose May 25, 2015 @ 8:50pm
At the very least is there a feather potion in the game that reduces/nullifies fall damage?? There's a potion for everything else.

Did it occur to you that it isn't that the game is hard so much as it is you are too soft. Seriously the game is supposed to be challenging. This is a challenge to be overcome. Stop trying to ruin gaming. This is a mature title you are supposed to be able to handle boo boos by this point in your life. You don't need to be coddled, and you shouldn't be asking to be coddled. Have just a shred of self respect. Shake it off, have a laugh, and get back on the horse. I think we need a meme for this nonsense.

You're retarded, I could fall 3x the height Geralt does in real life and walk away just fine. Even a game as great as W3 has flaws, just admit that.

What does real life have to do with video games exactly? Think on that for a few minutes before you respond. Recognize the idiocy of what you are arguing. You want realism fine seeing as it is what really matters to you. Will you kindly ask the developers to remove magic, monsters, and ghosts from this game. You know seeing as they aren't realistic. If you have a problem with this you should certainly have a problem with those. No you don't I wonder why is that. Oh I get it now. You are just bitter about dying in a video game where there are do overs.

Video games are based on real life, ya dumb git. Players can suspend their disbelief when it comes to monsters and magic, they understand that fantasy is fantasy, but players expect to not keel over and die while playing as a grizzled monster hunter when they step off of a 4 foot high bank next to a river. If I can jump off of a 4 foot bank and live as a normal person, but Geralt the monster slayer dies from it, that is when you can't suspend your disbelief, it doesn't make sense. I hope you can understand the difference. Troll fanboy detected

I have never died from a single fall. That is the honest truth.

Magic, monsters and ghosts aren't realistic, Yes but so isn't falling from 100 ft and not dying.. so why didn't they implement that in the game.. I guess you didn't play the game yourself

... What's with all the psychologists here nowadays? Seriously, the falling damage is, sometimes stupid. Because there is no "press X to go down"... Which I think It's kind of dumb seeing how we got a climbing animation, It just breaks the immersion having to walk to a fall without doing an animation, he just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ walks...

The game is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but it has some flaws. No game is perfect, although this one is in my TOP 10 favorite games of all time.
I'm a Witcher fan, I've played W1 and 2 and I loved them with all my heart. My favorite franchise by far, and I hope CDPR makes another game in the Witcher universe, not necessarily with Geralt.

Back to the topic. I got this problem too, several times, I was MAD at this game, there's this contract that you need to get down a cave in order to access a boss fight... It was a pretty safe fall, but Geralt loosed like half his health... SO ANNOYING.

Then I remembered a basic rule someone told me in order to fall with less pain irl, try to do a roll when you fall, aka press space in mid air. Then Geralt will land with a soft roll. Not a combat dodge, but a falling roll.

I think this is a pretty good feature tbh lol!

The fall damage doesn't bother me it's his inability to walk down stairs that I have a problem wif.
