Can't use the lantern from Kiera

On the quest of tower of rats(i think that's the right name) I get to the laboratory at the top of the tower and have the lantern in the right inventory spot but mouse 3 doesn't work? Anyone know what i'm doing wrong or what the glitch is

Pretty sure you need to select it specifically from the quick inventory menu (tab). If that doesn't work it's most likely a bug.

I have moved the lamp in and out of the quickdraw and it will not open with middle mouse button.

You have necroed a 5 year thread to get help.

First do you use any mods? Some light mods can cause problems with Magic Lamp (the lamp you are given to see ghosts from Keira). Other mods can have changed keybindings or controller bindings, if you don't know what you do when set up a mod.

Make sure that you have it show in pocket section from your inventory. (It is the same place you should find torches when you pick up one and equip it - magic lamp changes place when you use scroll wheel while having QuickSlots up and pointing/activate cursor on that place).

Also make sure that you haven't changed key binding from default for scroll wheel and for middle mouse. You can find out keybindings in [input.settings] that should be in [path Documents/Witcher 3]. It is text file with extention settings instead of txt for text file.
It can be open and read in Notepad++.
