The Nilfgaardian Language?
I'm thinking the Nilfs are based on either Italian or Spanish Conquistadors but are they speaking Italian?

Or are they speaking some made up language like The Sims?

Strange I keep getting a Dutch feel off the accent.

Think the actual words of their own language is made up but maybe someone will correct me.

It certainly isn't Dutch. I am Dutch you see and I can't understand a word of it.

Slightly offtopic but what a job: "Make up a language so unique noone will be able to relate it to a known language."

The only two words I know in Elder Speach is:

Dhoine = Human

and Vatgerhn(prob misspelled) = Witcher

So now that you mention it one of the Nilf Guards did call me a vatghern at one point. Never made the connection until now.

I'm from germany and can confirm that there is definitely some german influence. I listened to two Nilfgaard soldiers talking (in Oreton near the blacksmith) and I overheard "schlecht" and "verboten" and the subtitles translated them exactly to what they would mean in english, "bad" and "forbidden". so it is not completely made up. although i assume those words would sound very similar in a scandinavian language.

Exactly people are saying it doesn't sound like anything. It's based off Northern Germanic for sure.
