Hardest for me was Sasha, took me like 20 reloads to beat her.... The third and Tybalt himself were a joke though.
What I did was use a deck that was pretty much like hers (though a little worse) - 6 heroes, all the spies and decoys and revives I could get, and win a war of attrition.
On the plus side, since she's the only one with 30+ cards on her hand, all the others are ez. Throw out your spies, forfeit first round, play with 16 cards vs 7..... Ez.
Do you get any special cards for winning the tournament, I realised I had no chance to beat the guys so I just carried on with the quest, am I going to miss out on unique cards?
Whether any of them are unique to this quest or can be obtained elsewhere I dont know.... but I wouldnt be surprised if they were unique.
Also do you know where I can find zoltan after I completed the game to get his card?
You don't get nothing from the first game if I recall right. From then on you'll win a leader card from every following game.
The cards are (you get them in this order)
The Relentless: Nilfgaard Leader - Pick a card from the opponent's discard pile
Queen of Dol Blathanna: Scoia'tael Leader - Destroy strongest enemy close combat (cc) card(s) if combined strength of cc cards is over 10
Destroyer of the Worlds: Monster Leader - Restore a card from your discard pile to your hand
I don't think that you'll have the chance to get the cards from anywhere else.
The 2nd one is probably the hardest Gwent player ever. Beat her on my 4th try.
Weather cards are your best friend. If i recall correctly I don think she ever use sunshine.
First round I throw out every single spy card i get to get as many cards on my hand as possible. I try to let my opponent rack up points as it seems when the computer gets to a certain point he will pass the first round thinking he can take it quite easily. Once i get to the part where he/she passes I then try to calculate how to throw out the least amount of cards to win the first round.
After you have won the first round the computer tends to go all out on the second trying to prevent defeat. During second round i generally throw out scrap cards which are not my toughest just trying to drain the computer as much as possible. I also use medics to revive the enemys spy cards in my pool and might even consider using my leftover decoys just to switch cards around on my hand to make the opponent throw out more of his. The computer will not pass the second round as long you won the first. you can keep him in the game indefinetely until he runs out of cards. then I pass the second round when i know im practically certain of a win in third round. :-)
As for sasha. her nummerous amount of spy cards and medic cards makes her a tough opponent to deal with as she pretty much utilizes the same strategy i mentioned. the loss I got against her she managed to pull enough spy cards out of her arse to drain her entire deck and have everything on her hand. The second game against her i got a little bit more lucky as i ended up with more cards on my hand than she did and she passed an early first round which let me win it so i could start draining her of cards in the second.
The other 3 was pushovers for my deck and won quite big against them all on first round.
The nobleman in the keep is supposed to be a super hard opponent as well but i mustve had all the luck in the world as i ended up beating him on my second try with nearly the beginning deck lol. He mustve pulled a really really bad hand at that time.
Personally feel the best deck in the game is the nilfgaardian one due to the amount of spies and medic cards it brings. It offers the most versatility in my eyes. Getting a large hand early on is pretty much a sure win if ur going for the first round.
But I do like the northern realms additional card on win as well. It can be a true gamechanger. :-)
Regarding the nifgaardian in Vizima, well.....
While I did eventually beat him with the deck I used for the tournament, it was a crazy hard match.
In fact, it was the second hardest in the game for me, after Sasha herself. Even Tybald and that weird gnomy thing in the tournament were easy compared.
