Can I Censor the nudity out of my US version, like the Arabic?
Just a simple question no need for flaming to trying to change my mind.

Just to clarify this isn't for young children, just personal preference. Greatly appreciate all the civil replies and hopefully help if its possible.

I see no option for it ingame but maybe its different in different regions?

I don't believe I saw the option to do so (US Version)

They should have made it an option for those who have youngsters around and are happy for them to see decapitations and dismemberment but not nudity.

Sorry that was as close as I could get to not flaming :)

I completely understand and respect your reply. Thank you for keeping it civil as possible :)

Actually quite a great idea, but the game is rated for audiences over the age of 18.
Still, if some adults wanted censorship for themselves, it would have been a nice touch.

I'm sure that a mod of some sorts will be made to apply and remove censorship at some point

I concur with FubarHouse, I mean.

I cant judge anyone here. But in my opinion even if you censor this game to youngsters the story is still too dark and the ambience to depressive. If you allow your youngsters to see the cruel world of the witcher I dont see why you dont want them to see the dismemberment or nudity. The Dark Story and Humour of the game itself can have a much worse long-term psychological effect on youngsters(who arent prepared to ingest). If you want to let them play it it might be much better to have a serious talk about everything they might see or hear during the game instead of censoring it. remember censorship never works (the forbidden is always sweeter for the younger ones so its better to teach them how to deal with it in a mature way)

Umm yeah seriously if we are talking about children here, just no. The game has some serious themes going on - potentially a lot more damaging than nudity or acts of physical violence.

There is a brutal dismembering in the game, beheading and splitting people in half. If you are worried about nudity you shouldn't play this game.
Wicked Sick May 22, 2015 @ 6:58pm
I don't need my game to be censored in any way, but I agree that it might be a welcoming feature for some people.

I imagine the following, the person is playing the game, let's say in the living room where everyone may walk by for one reason or another. Not meaning that will stay still and watch you play, but just transiting.
It could be uncomfortable for some people if they walked in just at a nudity scene.

But that's me and, as I said, I don't need it and many more doesn't as well, but still some do and that would be good for them.

I just edited my post but I'll include it here. This isn't to make it okay for children to see, its just a personal preference.
Domite May 22, 2015 @ 7:05pm
Its just an imaginary naked body, I mean you should not be awkward around it, I mean, you have a naked body, I have one, everyone does. Also, dismemberment is way worse in terms of offence.
As for censoring it, you'd have to mod the game yourself as I doubt there are that many people who A: want to play the witcher 3 and B: Want it censored

If there are already existing censored assets, I don't see why CDPR can't provide a free DLC option that can be enabled/disabled. Try contacting them about it? Maybe they'll whip something up for those that would like to censor it as a personal preference or otherwise. It'd be optional at least.

Because they don't want to, unless they have to. It's called artistic vision. Game is already in its intended form. Nudity is a part of it. Last thing you want is pedaling every little phobia. What next? An option to remove spiders from the game?
