Is Roach the worst horse ever?
Why didn't I control Geralt when he bought a horse? But noo, get the claustrophobic, bridge-ophobic, mentally challenged horse that can't steer and hits every single tree he sees and slows down and speeds up whenever he likes. Whoa, Slow dow- FASTER ROACH.

You forgot magic. Roach is a magic horse. How else do you explain his ability to appear behind you when ever you whistle. Even more baffling when you just watched him drop off a cliff and turn around to see him standing behind you as if nothing had happened.

You have to hold a button down to stick to the road perfectly. You only have to change direction for a hard turn....I have NO idea why people have difficulty controlling the horse.

Don't forget his levitation magic, if you fall of a cliff gravity doesn't effect him.

Even then I am not having the difficulty you claim is there. I think the 'issue' is that the game simply controls differently than most games and people actually need to get used to the controls.
