Cannot get to Novigrad

Guys im in Velen (no mans land)

Im trying to get to Novigrad

So ive gone to a fast point location, clicked on it, the map opens up, I select Novigrad but the map just takes me to Velen!

It does not let me select the map in Novigrad, I can just access Velen, Viszima and White somthing...

Do i have to play more story to go to novigrad, can I just not go there, or is there a mission i need to do 1st?

or is it a bug?

The map is confusing but Velen and Novigrad are in the same "zone". Novigrad is the big city north of the map.

so if im in Velen can i see novigrad on the map? or can you ride in novigrad from Velen ?

so really its one map for novi and velen, one for vizima and one for white?

Damn i thought it was seperate areas...

crossroads is the center point. You go south you are in velen, go north novigrad.

You cant cross the Pontiff without a special pass first time.

Oh there is way around that, hint Mexicans do it to get to the US illegally.

you need a pass whitch you can get easily from the shady dealer by the bridge leading north to novigrande or because its open world map you can just go around them and go into the city that way plus you have to unlock those sign posts for fast travel you cant just fast travel anywhere.you have to go there on foot first and discover it
