My advice is to dismantle it for the "silver ingot". You need 3 silver ingots to craft the Gven'Nel silver sword which does 202-248 damage but requires you to be level 13.

Note that I've only been playing the PC version for a few days.

Keep all silver. Save them for crafting silver swords.

Dismantle them.

Money stops becoming an issue eventually. Sell your animal skins instead.

You can sell everything in the "Other" category. All the important things you need are in the Alchemy and Crafting category. Don't even need to dismantle since later you will have so much money you can just buy what you don't have and also you don't need to stockpile items since most items are restocked with Alcohest and you don't need to craft them again.

Don't ever sell seashells (junk tab). Dismantle them for black pearls (which are worth hundred times a seashell) for 1 crown and then either sell them or use to craft runes (all the lesser runes require black pearl dust to craft and do not restock).
I also dismantle gem containing jewelry as gems are rare and expensive. Just in case. There are not many jewelry items anyway.
As for silver "junk" I gues you're free to sell it right away.

Pure silver is heavy as ♥♥♥♥^ Get rid of it.
Either dismantle till you have 10 silver bars or sell anything above that.

I think a bomb reicipe need pure silver, was it moondust? Just sell the rest, dismantle a inferior silver sword for crafting materials, and recuperate the runes. You can read upgrade schematics for witcher swords and hold on to those materials. Once dismantled it loses much value...

You can sell them all as junk, you'll get plenty later when you need it.
