Apparently, axes cannot use oils. Which isn't that big a deal usually, but still enough I'm sticking with swords (unless I find an axe that is a good 15% or more over my sword)
But, unless you stop by a smith after every fight, you'll occasionally break your weapon - you could repair it, or you could hold on to your best 'secondary weapon' (axes, maces, etcetera) for actual secondary-weaponry use.
also swords have rune slots and axes dont
Was different in TW 1 and 2, but they changed it. Rightfully, cos axes used to be worthless.
this is why i kept my relic level dwarven axe for like 5 or so levels, it has 100 armor pen and + 25 crit chance/dmg(forgot which one). but i got a level 14 sword that has a chance to ignite people on hit, and it does it often enough that i kept the sword
then someone says you can't repair secondary weapons at the smith, when i know for a fact that you can.
a bit confusing. anyone who can actually confirm whats what for sure?
