Need help can't loot / interact items with the gauntlet icon over them.

I can loot regular things by pressing E, but when I see objects with something that looks like a hand or a gauntlet reaching down (a bee hive for example) I can't interact with it. Pressing E does nothing. When I use my witcher sense it highlights as an interactive object. Any ideas on what i need to do? Thanks in advance.

Use the Igni sign and burn the bee hives, then loot them, as for other items like barrels I have no clue about yet.

I've noticed many inactive teleports have this thing, but to activate it you need to either have a special item or charge up the crystals.
