What does the magic trap sign do?

Slows enemy movement and makes ethereal enemies material (ghosts become vulnerable when inside of it)

Slow down enemies in the sign and also prevent enemies from escaping, and does extra damage to spector and wraith.

It also has an alternate skill you unlock later that can turn the Yrden trap in to a somewhat of a turret. Very nice for large packs of enemies.

It works also if, when launched, the enemies is outside the circle (and then go inside, ofc) ?

Lots of people seem to think yrden affects enemies inside the circle. Not the case. It only affects enemies when they are standing or moving over the actual glyphs on the ground. You can see the purple glow as it grips them.

I wish that it was centered * and stayed centered* on geralt. I find myself spending too much time moving back inside the circle because my attacks have pushed the nme out of it.
