Read the Instructions. You cannot. That's the whole point of this game - to force the enemy lose as many cards as possible. If you win the first round but lose too many cards, you are done for the rest of the game, that's strategy.

You're normally stuck with the 10 cards you draw (or swap out) at the start of a game, but I can think of at least two ways to draw cards:

1. Northern Realms decks draw a card if they win a round.
2. Spy characters allow you to draw cards when you play them (at the cost of joining the opponent's army).

Also there are healers that can bring any unit from the grave or for example enemy spy can draw cards for you next round .... or if you have a dummy you replace enemies spy with it and play it on his side for cards... some spies are so sick they even have 0 attack value so there is no downfall. Thats north , nilfguardians and scoiatel strats. Monster decks bring out additional cards on their own out of deck.
