Hanged Man's Venom Bugged?

I can't apply Hanged Man's Venom to my silver sword, is anyone else getting this? I have crafted it, it's in my inventory and I press A and nothing happens! Using xbox360 controller btw. And the other blade oils work fine, just not this one....

You're not supposed to use that with the silver sword. Steel is for humans and so is the oil.

What it says for this oil "10% Attack power versus humans and non humans", I thought nonhumans was literally any monster so was trying to use on Silver sword.... But I spam E on keyboard and it doesn't let me apply to either weapon.. No menu or anything, it's not working AT ALL....... -_-

Nonhumans means dwarves and elves, which you fight with steel swords

Nonhumans means mostly elves and dwarves. Just think for a second, it would render all others oil useless if this one worked on bipedals and monsters.

I dunno why you can't put it on your steel sword though

Necroing due to me having a similar issue and fixing it. I found if you're using a secondary weapon (Not a sword, suck as an axe or mace) you can't apply any oil to it. Hope this helps anyone googling this In the future!
