Yes it works. I can confirm 100% since my friend shares it from my library.

did you authorize the pc? log into friends account on your pc and vice versa?

yes, every other games is shared through family sharing but witcher 3 doesn't show up in the library.

I even load and installed it with the account which bought the game, but it could not be started with the shared account

and now the witcher 3 is showing up in the library, but instead of the install button there is an purchase button. I assume, there is no family sharing and DRM in place.
