'Fake Papers' quest bug.

I started a quest called Fake Papers, and I had to go to a guys Brother-In Law to see what he needs. When I arrived he was being attacked by Ghouls, I killed them, then I talked to him and accepted what he needed to be done, when I did, the quest still says to talk to him. When I do talk to him again he just tells me to piss off. Any help here?

Just ran in to this same thing. I figured I'd just kill a few rounds of the ghouls. Three or four rounds of them and a lvl 9 ghoul showed up. When that round was dead I got a quest update for "Bitter Harvest" then the brother-in-law paid up.

You have to protect him from the monsters, there are 3 waves, after that talk to him again.

Oh and he can die, and you will fail the Fake Papers quest because the guy will be pissed off at you for letting his brother die.

failed the brother quest and now cant get a pass and gotta go back hrs just so i can get a pass yes i would say this is a bug and needs to be addressed. Any other way to get a pass or do i have to go back about 5hrs just so i dont fail a quest?

This isn't the only quest that gives you a pass. I failed it and got a pass from some where else.. It's just an option.

dont worry you can get the papers by adding the baron . he will give you them .

Another possibility that happened with me - one of the stupid ghouls was trapped in bushes south of the battle field (from where they come in, use witcher sense otherwise). Went there and chopped the ghoul, returned to the brother and got paid, both crowns and some respect as well. :D
