Game runs better in Borderless Window?
By default the game is set at Borderless Window but I read in a discussion that you'd see an FPS boost in Fullscreen mode. It did the exact opposite for me. I had a significant FPS drop. Anybody else in the same boat as me? Does this make any sense?

Also, I'm running this game on a GTX 770 4gb with V-Sync and all AA turned off in-game. Instead I'm using the V-Sync and AA from the Nvidea Control Panel.

Have it running in borderless as well and apart from the known bug with the inventory this game has ran very smooth for me.Had to purchase an Nvidia 960 though. My 560 would never have got near playing.Beuatiful game alround.

It's going pretty smooth for me too, never dropping below 52 FPS. I have almost everything set to max, with the exception of shadow, terrain detail and hair works.

my 460m plays this well enough on a high mid setting surely your 560 could do a touch better. I do get some slight de-synch on cutscenes however but that about it.

Is it me or it's just stuck on borderless windows ? When i try to change to fullscreen it doesn't seems to do anything, and when i restart the game it's back on borderless windows.

It keeps defaulting to borderless window. Sometimes it saves and sticks and others it does not. Obviously we want full screen. Borderless window is a hack and is still windowed by DirectX and driver standards. Not what you want to play in for best performance.

Full screen always performs better than windowed.

Mine reverts to borderless window sometimes not sure why.

On topic, I find actual fullscreen performs better.

I'm playing on a borderless because I don't get that awful flicker with xfire turned on. I have an r9295x2 so xfire borderless > single card full screen. Hoping driver or a patch fix this. Haven't played the 1.03 yet. Was busy last night :-/

Mine defaults to borderless windowed as well, from what I've heard, it happens when the game loses focus while starting and using the mouse at all causes this.

So using space to skip the cutscenes and not touching the mouse until you reach the main menu fixes this, at least in my case.

I get heavy stuttering with borderless

I get screen tearing from using borderless windowed mode.

I play with borderless perfectly fine. I like to watch movies/shows on the other screen lol. I have Vsync and fps limit to 60 and not really any issues. Lucky I guess.
