Steam Unlock Countdown wrong?
As CDPR say, the Release of all digital Verions of The witcher 3 on all plattdorms will be 1:00AM CET on the may 19th....

But according to the actual unlock Countdown in the steamshop (at this post time 1 week, 5 days and 16 hours), it will be 19:00PM CET on the may 19th, that means 18hours later...

At the last big game releases, those countdowns where always correct, so i have big concerns...

I know a long time ago there was a game that was released everywhere at midnight that I pre-ordered from Steam, but Steam didn't unlock the game till their normal time to update servers, which was 11am MST. I don't know how Steam handles things like that anymore though, I haven't pre-ordered a game in a very long time.
I've had a couple games unlock on Steam half a day later than everywhere else, I really hope this isnt the case......
Welcome to Steam, where the game are more expensive and unlock at a later time.

So it is common that games unlock late? Has Steam ever unlocked games before the 11am MST server update time?

Makes me glad that I pre-ordered from GoG, cause I know they will be unlocking the game on time. Sounds like Steam is likely not to unlock till 11am MST on May 19th.
They most likely just haven't updated it to the correct time yet. Never take information like time, steam features, or lack of them in the store at face value. Sometimes companies just don't update it correctly.
Normaly i would restore the game on Steam, and preorder on GoG (who is first hand on witcher, CDPR owns GoG) but its not posible because i recived the game on Steam as a Gift (swap with another person). If Steam doesn't correct the unlock time soon, i must purchase on GoG additionally , i cant risk to start playing 18 hours later. (Even the pirates will start sooner -.-)
It will release at the same time on both platforms http://i.imgur.com/GhwY5KV.png
Steam clock shows most games wrong now adays I think there is a problem with the steam clock. It doesnt show the right time for many releases.
That's the standard steam timer, it doesn't mean it will be true

At the risk of sounding like a steam fanboy.. What are you talking about ? The games are cheaper than origin and uplay or blizzard's battle.net. On top of that they have more varied payment options and games don't always arrive late. Please enlighten me, because I have no clue what you are talking about here. Unless your sole purpose was to whine in which case just shut up and be patient.

They're more expensive in Europe, excluding GB. Valve thinks that 1 U.S. dollar is equal to 1 euro. That's why.

I don't know about the release delay though.

I am in Europe and I agree with you, however, other platforms have exactly the same issue and are still more expensive than steam.
