Granted, my views on such things have been effected by seeing fruit that makes you vomit blood get nerfed, in games with replicators and heat knives that instantly cook prey animals when you stab them because gosh, you didn't have to craft the basically poison fruit!
If it saves you UI clicks, even if it is vastly weaker and you had to unlock it, someone is going to cry and call if overpowered compared to a quick acting option you have to mindlessly fiddle with the UI more to use.
The 4.0 patch reduced vitality regeneration from 50 or 80 vitality per second to 10 or 15 vitality per second, a fifth of what it was before
Is that only with the gourmet perk? I thought all food was 10 or 15 anyway
Regardless, the perk is still amazing, I would hate to play without it for the first half of the game
I'd like to recommend a mod that's compatible with next-gen if you want something that addresses this but remains balanced, this mod allows you to keep any "General" perks you've unlocked activated at all times without needing to equip them in the perk slots https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/7156
