game save failed, not enough storage space?!!!

Does anyone face this same issue, I could not save the game, and got unable to sync error or cloud save

yes, in same boat, got 900 gigs free on only drive have ssd, but yet says, no room to save?? arrrrf??? =(

I'm also dealing with this "unable to sync" issue(only in this game), and nothing I've done has solved it. I would like to play this one Steam Deck as well as my desktop so if anyone has any ideas I'm all...eyes.

The saves are on your C drive. Does it have enough space?

Same problem here, both drives have enough space, but still that propblem....

Same me, running main M2 4T ssd, with over 3T still left on it. and all games on 2nd M2 4T, so have a ton of free space

have had game since first released, no issues till these new updates. and poof this issue now.

I noticed that when I run the game, it creates setting files (input.settings, profile.settings,...) in the root Dir where your game installed. I change back the location of Document folder to drive C, it now can create save in C:\Users\{user}\Documents\The Witcher 3 and that fixed my problem about save and cloud sync issue, hope it help.
So it's basically about folder permission

omfg... that was issue here too. C drive is OP system, but i moved all my folders to 2nd drive as storage, pics, documents, downloads, etc i relocated. Moved them back to C drive documents and all good now... THANKS

you should check the current Documents location, if it's not in C: (OS), then change it back to see if it works.
C:\Users\{user}\Documents\The Witcher 3

Thanks for the tip. This didn't work for me exactly, but what I did try was instead moving the Witcher 3 directory from the documents folder on C, to the root directory of the game and that fixed it for me. Now I have working cloud saves and can play this on the Deck too.
