Is RTX Worth It?
Currently getting 120FPS without RTX and 45-50FPS with RTX. Is it worth the FPS tank?

Personal preference really. Just play the game to see if the improved visuals are enough to make up for the FPS drop.

It depends on whether you value graphics over framerate.

On the one hand, the difference between having RT and not having RT isn't exactly life-changing, but it does look nicer with RT. On the other hand, your framerate gets halved if you use it.

Personally, since I'm used to playing on a 60 Hz monitor, I don't mind getting 50 FPS.

I am still playing PS4 games like GOW Ragnarok so I find 30FPS with RTX and max settings at 1440p quite manageable. For me the improve visuals really makes the graphics have a certain depth to them, when I play without RTX the environment seems bland. Smooth 30FPS is better than 60FPS with constant drops. Have a 3080 here.

With your card, you will have to go to 1080. With my 3080, its playable at Ultra+, all RT on, and DLSS Performance at 1440. For me, turning on RT makes it extremely more immersive. It just has to be playable.

The game looks way better with Ultra+ settings and no upscaling

Try it.. When they fixed the RT will be nice

I would say it's totally personal preference. For me personally, I can just about get the game to run at a playable but not ideal 30fps with some dips at 1080p with ray tracing, Ultra settings and balanced DLSS. I have a 2070 Super, so that card is getting on a bit now.

The game does still look great on Ultra+ settings though, where I can get about 60-70fps average, which dips below 60 in towns and denser areas. This patch certainly runs worse for me. I can even run cyberpunk at all ultra settings, no ray tracing at 60-90fps - far higher than TW3 at this point.

If I was in your shoes, I would probably turn ray tracing on, since for me, 45-50fps is right in the good zone of not looking too choppy. Heck, I used to play games at that framerate or lower all the time with my old PC, so it's something I'm definitely used to. Of course, it's just personal preference. Do what ya want.
