No voice audio
exactly as the title implies, cutscenes have no dialogue audio and raytracing absolutely destroys framerate even on my 3070 i only get 40 fps

On the audio - in Windows audio settings try changing the audio out option, the game doesn't like 7.1. I had 2 options for my headphones, changing to the other this solved it for me.

Also fixed it on Windows 11 just go to System > Sound > All sound devices > Click your Output Device and turn off Audio Enhancements

No voice audio?
Hi,

Just bought and installed the game, but I do not get any voice audio. Other audio seems to work fine. Does anyone have an idea on what is wrong and how to fix it?

Is there no sound in the game? The audio output mode of the game is different from the output mode of your computer. It is good to check whether the headset you are wearing or the speaker setting of your computer is the same. Any software may have this bug, which has nothing to do with the game.:steammocking:

Same problem ... no Voice and no Atmo after Update ... I just hear the boots walking, and the fighting sound from little Ciri when tutorial starts :(

Me too but, voices were working perfecly for many hours of gaming. Then they stop working for no reason. Every other sound work well ,even the generic peasant grunt. I try to load old savegames, from before the problem occur, and it change nothing. No audio setting seems to solve the problem. Integrety of game files passed steam check.

I am having the same issues. I hate reading the subtitles because I love the voice dialogue in game in the cut scenes. But now I can't even hear them speak.

I was having this issue that just popped up, after working fine on the new next gen for 30+ hours. It's connected to running in 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound. Now I couldn't figure out what happened in my case, as I use headphones. I eventually found my fix. It seemed to be an odd bug. Windows 11 - settings, accessibility, audio. I turned on 'mono audio'. Tried the game, it worked. Then exited, turned it off, and it still worked. So somehow the game had been pushed into a surround sound mode, and I guess that defaulted it back? Who knows. Play around with those sound options, you'll eventually find something that'll fix it.

wow!
Thank you Caryland, your solution did the job for me. I passed hours trying to solve the problem. I would never guest to look over those settings.
Just for fun, i am also using headphones via usb connection. SteelSerie arctis 5 maybee it is a common factor for this problem.
