Tip: Restarting solves the vast majority of problems.
- Verified game files (2 files were missing)
- Fast travelled to Vizima, which forced the vizima song to play. When i came back to Velen the song unglitched itself.
travelling to vizima fixes it. thank you
Try visiting Vizima, then going back to Velen, after going back to Velen do a manual save. Restart the game and load the manual save then keep playing from that save.
I say this referring to your temporary fix because maybe you did that, and restarted the game and the game loaded to before you had travelled elsewhere, meaning the glitch wasn't fixed yet. So making sure the game loads after you unglitch the music might be the permanent fix. At least it worked for me this way
Just tried to backup DLC / bin / Mods folders and check files (was suspicious it would erase some stuff and it did) then copy/past my backup files to check : problem still there.
I'll try to check for missing files one more time without my backup folders.
If it does the trick, my very own mods setup might be the problem.
Temporary workaround : Travel to another place that provokes a loading screen and it should be good until you shut the game off.
I just entered through the exit where supposedly the sewer song start playing, then i left and it unglitched. Might work for you?? Worth a try...
EDIT: The exit is in a port if i'm not mistaken... Near where you need to get the ship to Skellige, could be mistaken... If you're not sure, might be worth looking up on youtube
