Here is how to fix RivaTuner OSD overlay WITHOUT deleting anything!
You have to create a profile in RivaTuner

Go to YourInstallationFolder\RivaTuner Statistics Server\Profiles
Create a text file named: witcher3.exe.cfg
Inside the file paste the following:

[RendererDirect3D12]
D3D11on12=0

Save and close your file.

Run RivaTuner and select your witcher3.exe profile and make sure 'Show On-screen display' is ON.

Now run the game.

EDIT1: Below a screenshot of RivaTuner so you can see/copy the settings of the profile

You don't tneed to delete anything either way. Just rename D3D11on12.dll to OLDD3D11on12.dll or whatever name can stand out to you incase you ever need to revert it back.

Yes but with the above you can still use the .dll file

for anyone willing to use a alternetive for now. I've found that the GFE overlay works (alt+r for performance overlay). Gamebar works as well which has a performance widget you can "pin" to stay on the screen and show FPS and a few other metrics.

Heads up on one thing. I recorded a 20 min video of me playing a new game from the start showing the performance on my PC. But when I went back to watch the video I found out that the GFE perf overlay dose not show up in the recording :(

Yup, but if you use Streamlabs OBS you can record the GFE overlay, I find it dumb that nvidia does not include an option to record their own overlay ....

Geforce experience works, but there is no information about FPS. It appears "ND"

If you rename/delete D3D11on12.dll, the game uses the default Windows version of the .dll file instead.
