Classic looks better
In addition to running better.

It's the difference between a product made by a talented group of people vs a frankengame with mods and wrappers slapped onto it by new hires who don't even know how the engine works.

I gave it a try, it used to run fine, now the game is struggling(DirectX 11), i tried to lower the graphics but still can't reach the stable fps i had before, run around for 10 minutes for the nostalgia then i gave up.Its on storage for now maybe one day i will be able to enjoy the ''next gen graphics''

I completely agree. DX12 is a bag of ♥♥♥♥. Witcher ran perfect on DX11 and both Cyberpunk and the Witcher update are plagued with issues, your not telling me it's a coincidence that both happen to use DX12.

I wouldn't say it's DX12's fault. It's ESGPR's fault.

optimize it in the geforce xperience panel and then launch the game from there I'm getting a playable framerate at 1440p with just a 3060 12 gig and RTX on. (not spectacular but good) Lower grass to ultra and keep sharpening low, you can lower terrain quality quite a lot in this game as that slider has never done ♥♥♥♥ all visually but add a couple of ugly rocks on the road.

I just wish they left DirectX11 alone for us that still have old gen computers, its unfortunate to have a game that runs good at 60fps medium graphics suddenly struggling so much.

just download the classic version via the beta branch. right click the game in your library and go to properties. i at least give them credit for giving us the option.

rx 5700xt with r5 5600x almost everything on ultra+ on 1080p dx12 stable 70-80 fps for now, only on city square drop sometimes to 50-60... and i can lower graphic settings if needed:Geralt::hillary:

i can't play in 1080p anymore. 1440p is the lowest I am willing to go.

No, not really. Because all anti-aliasing methods the next-gen version offers suck ass. FXAA delivers a clear and crisp image, but there is too much noise and flickering. TAAU, FSR2 & DLSS are all blurry as f*ck and cause heavy ghosting and artifacting on basically anything that moves. The old version also utilized FXAA but in a much better fashion with a good balance between a sharp image and low aliasing noise.
agree. classic was designed for GTX cards, and specifically when they released Witcher 3 at the time it was designed for 980 Ti cards in SLI. I understand the desire to enhance the game with RTX, but it actually looks way better on classic with my SLI setup, and runs 100x smoother. Sad but true

It's not running well even on RTX in Dx11 or Dx12 for me, hoping they get some fixes out.

I have 3080Ti with i9-12900KF and 32GB RAM and i get 55-58fps in your typical village with everything maxed out in 1080p ;_; Jumps up to unstable 70 in the wilds
