Xbox Elite 2 on PC not working

I can't get the Xbox Elite 2 to work in the game either connected with bluetooth or usb cable. Windows 11 sees the controller inputs and Xbox Accessories recognizes as well it but the game doesn't. Only Keyboard inputs are accepted.

I don't see anywhere in the options to switch between keyboard and controller and if I recall, on my old system, both worked used to work simultaneously.

What am I missing?

I actually had to force the game to ignore my elite 2 so i could properly use KB and mouse fully.
Have you tried seeing if messing about with the Controller options for the game via Steam makes a difference (right click witcher 3 wild hunt, properties, select Controller in the left hand listings), not sure if trying to force a controller profile there will fix it or not for you.

Completely disabling controller profiles via that setting will also allow for full KB/mouse binding for anyone having problems with that and with a controller being detected.
