Yeah. Forget mature world, amazing RPG, story, etc (assuming it will be like firt 2 games). Sex is why people buy Witcher. And sex is only for virgins! You heard it here first!

P.S. It's not like people need to play games like Witcher to see sex. There is entire industry for that. Adult "movies", ever heard of them? Plenty easier to just watch that. Heck, there are even games just for that.

A lot I hope, but who knows how much they nerfed women faces in this game. They looked awesome and detailed in the very early videos, but has since then gone down greatly in detail. Sad panda.

It's taken a couple of generations for video games to get to the point where any sex is really appealing at all. "Leisure Suit Larry" notwithstanding, until very recently video games have been seen as kids entertainment, with those of us who kept playing them into our adulthood seen as a bit off in the noggin.

For better or for worse, that's why the contraversy as it pertains to video games.

I was mildly surprised to see the sex scenes from Witcher II all over YouTube with no adult content filter at all.



But yeah. This game and others like are really marketed straight to the 18-24 crowd, and acting like R rated content in such entertainment is somehow shocking does come off as a little odd sometimes.

The only thing I don't like about the Witcher series is how women are so frequently used as a plot device for an otherwise sophisticated, untraditional story. You have politics, philosophy, folklore, and then...some sorceress getting kidnapped and needing rescue, or some dragon lady getting poisoned and needing help. It just doesn't match the atmosphere of the game. It's cliched. It's everywhere else already. It's predictable.

Know that I'm not saying it's sexist, just lazy writing, especially that the rest of the story is in a rather memorable, idiosyncratic style. I wanted more of the witch vs villagers stories, more of the lady of the lake lores, and less of the damsel in distress stuff when I played the last two.

I don't know if anyone else feels the same. It's kind of hard to explain.
