Should I import witcher 2 save game, or simulating witcher 2 choices through questions?

Heard if importing witcher 2 save file into 3 could be pretty glitchy, like Letho won't appear in 3 even though you didn't kill him etc.

So, is it save assuming I were to import a completed witcher 2 save file?

I don't know about importing the saves being glitchy or not. But I always simulate the saves and It always works well. So do that just to be safe in my opinion

I imported witcher 2 saves it works perfectly no glitches. The thing is you gotta import the right save slot from witcher 2. Dont import your last manual save in witcher 2 but rather the one in which when you load it, it directly plays the ending cutscene. Its an autosave right after your final encounter with letho where you made your decision to fight him or spare him. If you import this particular autosave from witcher 2 to witcher 3 you wont face any issues. I didn't and letho appeared perfectly well during my playthrough of witcher 3.
