Triss' romance didn't end well (MINOR SPOILER)

this thing knocked me out, I'm a player of the witcher 2, I made an unfortunate choice for triss, to save Anais, the stakes were high and with the tight time it seemed more right to make that choice and apparently in the end letho saved her.
In the witcher 3, seeing her again in a brigands' dump was revitalizing. Everything is fine, we move forward beautifully, I even massacre the Eternal Flame headquarters saving her from a rape and we get to the ball mission, she in breda has alcohol fumes, she runs away from me, I chase her and find her on the edge of a fountain, she's about to fall but I catch her like a true gentleman, AND I KISS HER, fantastic quest, fantastic ending.
The romance seems to be going well, she has problems with the witch hunt in the city of Novigard, I encourage her, she kills some civic fanatics, she saves some other wizards, she goes through the sewers and we get to the fateful moment... she has to escape in a boat with everyone, then the choice: I love you, I love you but not too much, Go and take care of yourself, timed choice... I don't know what to do, and I choose Go and take care of yourself, she goes away and leaves me without even a kiss... I'm dying inside... Dijkstra tries to cheer me up by telling me a story, then he talks to me about politics but I'm already withered... Yennifer is already pissed off about the fact that I started a relationship with her, now it will be even worse, now she'll count me in Skellige... and she's gone, with that piece of ♥♥♥♥ wizard whose name I don't even remember, who approached her one day (when I saved her from a dragon) and who is as nice as a cactus in the underwear, more insult to injury.
