Not buying ugly Ciri
I'm fine with Ciri being the protaginist of Witcher 4 but she has to look like Witcher 3 Ciri, or Netflix Ciri, or something similar.

Well if there's really an "ugly Ciri", it would be the Netflix's one...

thats a crazy take i havent heard yet. looks are subjective but if netflix ciri is ugly to you i kinda dont want to know your definition of beauty.

I have to disagree with you here.
The Bloody Baron quest had 2 endings, so did the situation with that evil tree. You could choose how to handle the bond with Yennifer.

Witcher 3 has situations where your actions genuinely have consequences.

Now contrast that to the plot thread with Evylyn Parker in Cyberpunk.
*Spoilers for Bloody Baron and tree spirit*
Ending 1 (Anna lives) - Anna has more or less lost her mind, the orphans are killed, and Velen is left under even worse leadership. Pretty depressing outcome for what is generally considered the "good" ending. At best bittersweet.

Ending 2 (Baron dies) - Anna dies, Baron dies, orphans survive, Velen is again left with worse leadership. Also a pretty depressing outcome.

Both choices end quite depressingly for the most part. Can't compare to Cyberpunk since I haven't beaten it yet. But there's really no reason to make the assumption you have based on a single trailer. The trailer shows a very typical Witcher trope of being unable to save someone even when you believe you are.

Regarless of nuancing good versus bittersweet there was a choice. Finish Cyberpunk and then come back and talk to me about choices.

And yes, I am reading way too much into the trailer but that's all we have right now.

A choice that leads to a depressing outcome, a complaint you just made about Cyberpunk...
The fact that she failed to save the girll is also a red flag that this will be like Cyberpunk where linearity or illusion of choice inevitably leads to depressing outcomes
Cyberpunk is a different franchise. I'm not going to judge the Witcher off the story and design choices made in another game.

I didn't say the actress was ugly but amongst the Ciris she's definitely the "ugliest", meanwhile there's an uncanny valley vibe about her.

You seriously think Trailer Ciri is prettier than Netflix Ciri?

I honestly don't get it. OOh my, she looks different. So does Geralt in 1, 2 and 3. Nobody threw a hissy fit back then. If you want to ♥♥♥♥♥ moan and complain about woke garbage turning women ugly, start with the TV show that made every single female butt ugly. Ciri looks older and more worn but not ugly. She is older and the transformation took something out of her.
”looks different”…. 😹
Geralt looks different due to advancements in graphics tech. Not due to appearance being changed

You are marginally aware that it has been what 8 years since W3, so graphic tech has changed as well. Also, Geralt LOOKS different in W1 and not just because graphic tech advanced. And if you want to get really nit-picky, tech advancing is the only reason a character model most likely changes, because it has been rebuilt from the ground up in a new engine. If they were still using the same engine, they would use the same model because devs are lazy as f

They really do need to make her attractive, people really don't want to play with grandma. The rest its not even relevant, that its this many years after or whatever else. If you can't make her attractive because she would be to old, replace that character with a young female protagonist if you like money, you have phone games that sell like crazy and all they have are pretty pictures of hot girls.

Isn't she a little girl in that one?
She was 18 when the show started so "little girl" is a bit of a stretch...
The character or the actress?
Ciri looks way better in this version than in the game. Admit it.
And to call her a 'grandma' you really got to be pre-pube.

40 years old can easily be a grandmother, and that seems about right for Trailer Ciri.
