Can't alt-tab???

No matter what, when I have the game running I can't alt-tab, alt-escape, ctrl-alt-delete, ctrl-shift-escape, NOTHING. I'm basically stuck in the game until I go into the menu to exit. I actually had the game freeze on me on several occasions and I had to reboot my entire computer.

Anyone know a fix or if I just have some wierd unique problem?

Enable Steam ovelay for Witcher 3. When in game, open the overlay and then you can Alt-Tab out. Be in a safe area when you do Alt-Tab out, LOL. It works for me at least. Long way around to do it, but what the hey.

change to full screen worked for me. game seam to default to boardless window and then i can not alt tab

Aug-2019 I had this problem continually I was using this method for the first 70 hours; Windows key + Tab > then right click windows toolbar > Show the desktop for along time. I just tried something that fixed it for me - changed fps to 60 from unlimited and turned off v-sync. Fixed it for now :) Hope that helps! Running fullscreen to!

Worked for borderless :D somehow it works with changing the fps limit to 60fps
