It is literally said in the books that the magic process destroys sorceresses' ovaries. Since men don't have those, they are safe.

It's actually the pituitary gland, located in the brain, that gets damaged. Which is stated in the book I mentioned above

EDIT: I don't know how I missed this but in the last line, Tissia (Sorceress who took a young Yen in and the leader of the Chapter of Sorcerers) ordered all apprentices to be sterilized. This is probably why Yen is infertile. Yen may or may not have been fertile afterwards but we can't know for sure.

But they stole Coral's red hair and gave it to Triss! And Coral was far more interesting in the books (or rather the one book she had).

Actually, my favorite red head in the witcher is Shani. I looked for her in Oxenfurt, but haven't found her. I guess they combined a few characters together to make it easier for new comers.

Ciri is the proof of mage dude can still make babies.

Not all mages become infertile. Geralt's mother was a sorceress. Yennifer just got "lucky". Yet mages are sill heavily discouraged from having kids, becouse passed down magic talent, apparently, can cause problems on its own.

As for Triss, all mages remodel themselves to some degree to look either more beautiful or wise. Why wouldn't they?
