Endless loading screen
2 days ago, out of nowhere I got an endless loading screen for Witcher 3 right on the main menu of the game. The game runs like butter and this all of a sudden happened. I tried some fixes but no luck, I have the GOG edition of the game as well. Shame this has to happen to me, it's such a great game, any idea how I can fix this?

same situation here, mate. updated today to the latest patch, via GOG GALAXY, and as soon as I started do play, endless loading. starting a new game didn't solve things, so right now I'm downloading again and I'll try a fresh install -- I've backed up my saves and settings, just in case it runs well. best of luck.

I got out of the loop by loading a save game from 1.04. Yes it extremely hurt.

Edit ....if you have a 1.04.

My problem is, the infinite loading is preventing me from choosing any options in the menu, so when I click on continue or options, it doesn't go through due to the ridiculous loading, and I have patch 1.06 installed, damn I just want to get back to the game

Well, I can confirm that after a complete reinstall of W3, things came back to normal. I've managed to put my original folder containing the settings and saves back in my documents and voilá. could be a solution if you have a fast internet provider OR managed to backup the installation files.

UPDATE: Apparently I had a corrupted quicksave which caused the infinite loading, I deleted it, and of course backed up my current saves first, and now the game's running again thank god, I need to let the game fully save before I get off, I tend to save as quick as possible and looks like this happended lol, thanks for the assistance guys :)

Roadrunner, how very strange. I just got the same problem after starting to play W3 after a break of month or so.. Half of my game loads get stuck indefinitely, but I've never had a problem like this and played W3 at least 200 hours until now.

This is with GOG version 1.11. Let me know if you manage to fix this. Could this be the new Nvidia drivers? I am using latest 359.96 myself.

first let me say sorry to hear this its an amazing game and it made me really mad when i could not play it. my problem turn out to be very simple there was just a corrupted autosave file i loaded an older save file and went to the same place where i got stuck in and the game was just fine after that so why dont you try that try to load a diffrent save file if it was the gpu driver then the game would just exit
