The Soldier Statuette / The Nobleman Statuette [spoilers]

So I have googled and searched intensly after someone in the same situation as me, yet to no avail. I am quite aware of a lot of people wondering about these quests post-Now Or Never. Frequently, they are reassured that you can complete them later in the quest line. Well, now I'm post-Imlerith, finished Reason of State as well, and am preparing the last for the Lodge of Sorceress stuff.

I was initially happy to see Triss in the Chameleon second floor room, thinking I could finally finish the two aforementioned quests. (For reference, Triss is my sole romance). Yet when speaking to her in her room, I could only ask her how she feels. These questions and replies are the same as just after the torture sequence much earlier.

As I see myself being very close to the absolute end of the main quest line. I would like to ask the people who say that you can finish it later, to specfically tell me when exactly you could finish the two quests?

I romanced Yen and was able to finish these quests right after Philippa's rescue mission.
At that moment i completed only Triss' part of Final Preparations quest.

Alas, I tried speaking to Triss about the statuette quests repeatedly, before starting each part of Final Preparations, no luck. Have now travelled to Skellige with the group for the Sunstone. Triss is on the ship, but now I cannot even interact with her, all she says is "Well?".

I remember doing the statuettes quests in Novigrad after you save Philippa.

That's so strange, I tried speaking to Triss after each stage of the main quests, and side quests at that, I did. Never gave me the option. Thanks for helping out though, bud.

I'm in the same boat. I'm guessing they broke it in patch 1.06. Maybe they will fix it in 1.07. If it comes out before I finish the game. :D

No, it works in this version of the game. I was able to complete that quest after her questline in Novigrad and prior to going to Skellege with everyone else. Basically the same part of the game that the OP tried it.

I have no idea why he wasn't succesful.

I encounter almost the same issue except for having the option for Triss to check out the soilder's statuette right after rescuing Philippa. However after choosing this option and go to a hideout to decompress the statuette, the mission stucks there. Triss just stands inside the hideout without doing anything. If talking to her this time, only two options left: how you feel and farewell. I am in 1.0.7.

Finished the storyline some time ago, I checked with Triss regularly (i.e. after each part of a main quest) even after going back to Skellige. Never got the option. #OhWell. Fingers crossed for the rest of you folks having trouble with this, hopefully it'll be patched some time soon.

It seems I cannot even buy the statuette from the merchant, assuming he is the right one (he sells items looted from mages not far from the bridge, and the conversation is interrupted by witch hunters). He runs away, a quest is added to the journal, but he becomes non-interactable.

Anyone got this to work?
I only found the nobleman, but when I go to Triss (my only romance has been with her, I turned down Yen after the Djinn) about it, she takes me to some small house, says "let's get started", and then nothing.
I am in the "final preparations" quest, and I did all except Yen and Avalach parts of the quest.

Also, where is the other statuette found? I only found this one

Got the "..nobleman" before Triss runaway from the Novigrad; soldier quest seems to be broken. Tried to do the "..soldier" after the Imlerit. After we go to the hideout - dialog with Triss was snapped and nothing. Techsupport said they know about the issue. Hope to see fix soon. So sad I'm about to finish game and this bug.
