Swallow potions.

You don't heal food unless you sat on it smushed your sandwhich, in which case you just need to make another sandwich.

Seconds are part of time. It moves forward.

If it was a larger sandwich then yes it'll take more time to remake.

The opposite is eating the sandwich.

White Raffard's Decoction. Doesn't have many uses but you can meditate almost whenever you please anyways.

You need Swallow potion to heal yourself but it's also a toxic and there is a limit to use consecutively.

But you got it's refill everytime you meditata and you can upgrade Swallow to higher version which heal you more.

it's something that you should already had it,just check potions.

White Raffard's Decoction is the best healing potion in the game... Especially when you get your hands on the suppiror version of it. BUT, you'll need 9 nekker hearts to make it... And those are suprisingly hard to come by (at least in my oppinion). Swollow on the other hand works slowly but it's easier to find and make + you'll have 5 uses in the suppiror version instead of 3 with White Raffard's Decoction.

Food with 10 second duration heals best. Drink and food can stack but with 2 quickslots it's usually better to have 10 second food and potion ready.

for the best over time healing. drink water and eat something with 10 seconds of healing, then use a swallow and your set for about 70% hp recovery.
I would say cranberry juice or something but thats harder to find then water.

Ekhidna Decoction is the way to go. It heals a good chunk of your Vitality every time you do something that costs stamina (= casting a sign). That and 2nd level Quen should keep you alive.
If you leveled the alchemy tree a bit to increase toxicity resistance, you'll be able to drink another decoction. Use Ekimmara Decoction, which regenerates Vitality when you deal damage to enemies.

This combination is pretty OP though. So it might make some encounters a little boring.

Dude, Superior is 3 charges... You get one more with Cockatrice Decoction.

I prefer the upgraded Quen sign for healing. Puts you in good position for attacking, blocks, and heals all at the same time. The only downside are the attacks that are hard and fast, like the rush of a Golem, Cyclops, and some of the bosses. If you see one of those attacks coming, DODGE!

10s food + 30s drink (in the quick slots) + swallow (drink from inventory) + white rafford (also from inventory) if you really need it.

It's too much of a Trollololo item to let scrubs use it.

Get food from crates. I found the onions really helpful from merchants: they are cheap and give you just enough to get by in a fight.

Also, you can get the sun regeneration ability. However, I do no think it is worth investing in personally as it takes too long.

look for food that is 5s or 10s when purchasing. The other food is slow to regen.
