Giant Skeletons?

What are these I've come across them In skellige and on an island just south of oxenfurt. Does anyone know what the giant skeletons in this game are?

Mammoth skeletons? I've come across several in Novi and they all have 1 rare fossile u can get off them... but they sell for 1g? Idk what to do with them atm.

yeah, they give you rare fossils when you find them but they're only valued at 1g and i've found no collector for them.

I could believe that it's a mammoth but the tusks are too different to be a mammoth they don't arch the right way.
