Report a translation problem
EDIT: you need to load your save, then Esc and under game options the choice becomes magically revealed :) The setting affects the game save, so there is no option to change it unless the save is open.

Just confused hah.
You can change to any difficulty at any time. You can go from death march to blood and broken bone to story and sword to just the story and all the way back up if you like.
The only thing changing difficulties affect is achievements. YOu can change difficulty to anything you want through out your playthrough.
I must have confused another game or two then, LOL, so many games...
But the edit to my original reply is OP's solution.
