Difficulty setting? What am I missing? (SOLVED)
I played the main story + heart of stone. It's been a few months, and I've come back to finish Blood and Wine.

I'm looking to adjust difficulty, but there is no longer a difficulty setting. Was it removed?

Thanks in advance. Maybe I'm just missing something.

Did you play at 'Death March (insane)' at some point and then backed down to lesser difficulty? I do not think you can go back up to it ever again in same playthrough. Just a guess at what may be your issue, or you are just not looking in the correct place.

EDIT: you need to load your save, then Esc and under game options the choice becomes magically revealed :) The setting affects the game save, so there is no option to change it unless the save is open.

Good luck!

Yes, I believe I was at Death March. However, under Settings - Gameplay - , there is not even an entry titled "difficulty" or whatever. It's just not there. You'd think if what you are saying is true, then it'd be there, but greyed out or something. I'm not sure. :)

Just confused hah.

You can change to any difficulty at any time. You can go from death march to blood and broken bone to story and sword to just the story and all the way back up if you like.

The only thing changing difficulties affect is achievements. YOu can change difficulty to anything you want through out your playthrough.

I must have confused another game or two then, LOL, so many games...
But the edit to my original reply is OP's solution.

Thanks everyone; however, I have loaded into my game. Under Settings - Gameplay, the Difficulty option is absent. If I could post a screen...
