Maybe they intro male character?
CDPR isn't new to that. Cyberpunk 2077 was certainly not a sure thing, for instance.
That's like judging a whole movie based on its trailer; it doesn't make any sense.
Still one of the worst AAA game launches ever.
Calling the game "Witcher 4" just confirms that developer is not sure that Cirilla as a main character has enough personality and backstory to hold a new game solely about her.
If it would be other ways around, the game would be called "Lady of Time" or "Zireael" or something, where you would have no needs to make Cirilla a witcher, but where she could be on witcher's road.
* Combat animations are random. Will your light attack hit them faster than they hit you? Roll the dice, maybe Geralt does a spin and gets half his face torn off.
* Signs are whimsical. Will you Igni the person infront of you? Or will Geralt turn around and miss completely? Roll the dice.
* Roach. 'nuff said.
In W3, you never really control Geralt, you just give him orders, and he follows those orders however he damn well pleases. The combat's often out of control, and the movement is even moreso.
Never played W3 for the gameplay, I played it for the story, and the writing. If they start retconning stuff, I'm out. Once you start tearing the foundation apart and applying duct tape to everything, it's all downhill from there.
Will see how the ingame version of Ciri looks as well, cuz her lips got botox'd to hell. That ain't aging, it's botox. I'd rather they keep it logical and faithful to the lore and previous depictions, which can be done with aging. When things change randomly, everyone always asks "why?" and an honest answer is never given.
I would of prefer it as spin off sure most companys in these situations would do ?
Actually would make for more innovated gameplay regarding the Witcher. If kept to the basics would get boring fast.
Then if the story elements seem on par with the other Witcher games. Then should be a solid game. They really want a Win Win should also have another character can play off and on as a sorceress. Be dope to be able to mess around with one of them. Maybe like Geralt she will fall in love with one too. Which I would personally love.
