Witcher 4 trailer doesnt hit the same as the olds ones

I understand the need to move away from Geralt as a protagonist but having Ciri be the main character is really underwhelming to me. I think it would be cool to have her in an Advisory role (almost like Vesemir) but it makes no sense lore wise that she would become a Witcher. She is also canonically extremely overpowered with her powers which makes for some boring gameplay in my opinion. Maybe she could've found lost knowledge of how to complete the Trials and train new Witchers (and Sorcerers to help) and founded her own School but I think itd be way more interesting to be your average Witcher just out on the trail who maybe gets caught up in some political intrigue much like Geralt always does.

Also as a side note, the game is clearly supposed to take place decades in the future (atleast two judging by Ciris appearance) but the loss of her original voice actress is a shame. She was brilliant.

Id rather not play Geralt again either. Infact I think Ciri and Geralts story should be largely done and dusted. Its a shame. I just wanna be a normal Witcher on the path who gets swept up into crazy stuff.

I can't stop laughing at this essay. Just play the game and stop looking at every nook and cranny, jesus christ. Ciri is perfect for Witcher 4, it does not make sense to play as Geralt lmao. you're high.

I'm very excited to play ciri, I would have loved an RPG though where you make your witcher and start of as a new witcher who has just undertaken the trials and make a name for yourself.

Tbh, that sounds way more compelling! Witcher 3 neatly wrapped up Geralt and Ciri’s stories. How cool would it be to make your own custom witcher and play during the times where monsters first crossed into the world of men?

Nowadays you as a game developer have all tools and technology at your disposal to make absolutely beautiful women and men - yet many game developers prefer to make hideous creatures for players to play instead.

Yes, but it would seem (and I may be wrong) that CDPR is still partly in charge, and that the studio is not completely independent.
I'd wait to find out more instead of having expectations in vain.
