Ciri as protagonist so disappointing

Not even a witcher, can't drink potions, way too overpowered, different voice actress, uglier face somehow. do they even care anymore?

I don't remember the lore very well, but isn't it technically possible for her to drink potions? I mean in the last game Geralt gives a swallow potion to heal someone and says they could either live or die with it and they end up living.

You're talking about " On death bed " She does end up living but lost her memory as a side effect.

This was their chance to let us make our own witcher and they threw it away. I like Ciri but I was pretty hyped at the potential for us to make our own character. Instead it's just essentially a continue of Geralt's story as Geralt and Ciri are explicitly bound in destiny. Overall pretty lamesauce but I'll still play it more than likely as it's still the Witcher.

I mean, we already knew they were planning a trilogy so the path of " create your witcher " wouldn't have been the best option. It worked for cyberpunk since the story is one-and-done. For a trilogy, an established character makes more sense. I just wish it was a prequel.

Mass Effect let us fully design Shepard. We could even import their face each game. Projekt Red could have made a trilogy with a custom character. As I said I like Ciri but the cat medallion teaser had me hyped we'd be a new witcher from a different school only to get duped and still be connected to the previous school and characters.

Didn't play Mass Effect so can't say much. I like established characters way more personally, but fair enough. They shouldn't have made it related to the old characters tho, we can agree on that.

Indeed. The most interesting thing here is how are they gonna nerf her powers? We just know they are going to. Her powers lorewise are ridiculously strong. So that's gonna be interesting. I'm still hyped overall though and will likely play it in like 2026 when it probably comes out.

It's strange because she's really not a Witcher but one of the most powerful characters
in the Witcher World as explained in the game. I have NP playing as her but I would much
rather played a very young Gerlt just starting out. Oh well, will see how it goes.....after all you won't see this game for many years lol!
