Can you transfer a modded save from steam to xbox ?

I was wondering (before trying myself) if transferring a modded save file from steam to the xbox would work or if it would cause issues

If the mods do not affect the save file in any way (so no new armor sets, weapons, or items of any kind, no new interactions, etc.) it might be OK. However, I would not advise it, just to be safe.

I don't know if saves are cross platform for this. I suppose, if Witcher 3 could be purchased on the Xbox app and played on PC and console (play anywhere title), then, in theory? You could probably use something like WeMod, or other trainer and flip the switch for unlimited currency/ gold, let that turn your wallet into something like 9999999999, save, then go sign into Xbox and have those maxed out currency and/ or materials there as well. Materials, though, can't be infinite in this game, as if they were that would mean Geralt cannot walk, due, to too much weight in the inventory, but you can use Fling or WeMod to do something like "easy crafting" which basically allows you to craft, even if you don't have materials for it, then save your newly crafted stuff and sign into Xbox lol. But the trainer/ cheater app would have to support Xbox App. Microsoft Store titles and at that point? You may as well just have a PC for gaming.

Mods proper? If you're talking about the many I run, like "lore friendly Triss" or "Philippa with eyes and scar free face?" No. Those are not kept in your game saves, they live exclusively in your C:\\Program Files (x86)\ Steam\Steam Apps\Common\Witcher 3\Mods (or wherever you keep your game, for whatever distribution app you use) directory.
