blurry game
im playing on 1440p high settings with RT on but no rt shadows or water. the game feels sort of blurrynot completely but just not right. i turned AA from fsr2 to fxaa thinking it would improve it. nope the game was unplayable at that point so i tried TAAU and that was the same. both of those were stupidly blurry like you could not make out anything iin the game. looked like i was playing @1024x768 but smoothed. could someone help me with this? i have messed around with settings but to no avail. thanks

Increase sharpening or turn off AA all together and try no AA + sharp off. I found taau with low sharp is the best regardless despite the slight blurriness.

No fix sorry, DX12 is not natively implemented in this Update. For some reason they decided to mash DX12 into DX11 which causes all sorts of performance issues, game is plagued with memory leak issues which should have been resolved before they even released this Next-Gen update, I find playing in 4K gets rid of blurry grass & scenery for me. even using DLSS 1440p causes blurry visuals.
It amazes me how it took CDPR over 2 years for this monstrosity, when I could mod OG version to look/run better then this update in under 2 hours, Except I would miss out on the extras, which is the reason i don't.

All you can do is wait for a Fix from CDPR. I pray it doesn't take a year!:steamsalty:

He is playing with Raytracing-ON, No AA would make the game a grainy mess.

i explained i was playing using fsr2 and it did not look right. so tried fxaa and taau which looked horrendous. i also tried with no AA and it looked better but everything had white flashing dots on it. i thought maybe it was windows auto hdr doing that so turned that off and rebooted game but the dots were still there. i have gone back to rt on and fsr2 on quality setting. it is better but not how it should be :'(

If you want to run the game using DX12, try DLSS set to Quality and Sharpness to High. Turn off Blur and Motion Blur. The game's visuals for me are very sharp. No blurriness at all. I even have Depth of Field turned off. So no blur during conversations.

Dude if you are talking about the foliage like the trees and bushes and stuff they have always looked that way, looks kinda like a washed out oil painting.

Just play on dx11 no visual issues and runs much better perf wise.

Make sure you have tunred off dynamic resolution scaling !
If you use TAAU + dynamic resolution scaling and set a framerate limit, it will look inbelievably blurry.
So turn off dynamic scaling (if you use TAAU) then go on display settings and set framerate limit to unlimited.

If you use FSR, yes the game will look blurry, you will have to tweak the ini file to set the default FSR sharpness if you want more, or use reshade and activate amd fidelity fx in it.

so tweaking the ini did help tremendously. it looks and feels like i remember. cannot say i see much in visual fidelity outside the sharpening at all but atleast it feels right again.

Which is the ini file to modify?
