Quen and Axii is too overpowered and enemy damage is far too low. Though poison and acid effects are well balanced.
I prefer W2 over 3 overall. Though there are things W3 is vetter than 2.
I like that Witcher 2 combat is a challenge. In W3, even on Death March it still feel really easy. Quen is awesome and Axii alternative mode doesn't work for me? Can never get those enemies to fight one another.
this is the game of the year i m sure of it, i bet its the best game i have untill now, ♥♥♥♥ gta deadspace and all other games.
I m not a fanboy, i m speacking as a gamer who played all games.
And i did like this game the most,
The facial expressions are fanstastic.
The Graphics magnificent.
The Story is incredible, i even bought the 5 books and read the first 3.
so i do guess it did come to my wildest expectations as well.
But the end was bad, i would like to see more.
Not waking up in kaer mohen with no one of the main characthers around Geralt.
You have it active on your skill tree? I used it and it made easy combat even easier. Its fun for a brief moment for me.
I'm just comparing this to past Witchers games. I said it is a great game so nothing to laugh about there mate.
I agree that the facial animation is excellent, however I still prefer Witcher 2 colorful graphics and unique location abit less realistic than Witcher 3 location. The story in Witcher 3 is where I truly disagree with you. There really isn't any story in Witcher 3. It just a goosechase.
Like I wrote in my initial post, the best place in W3 is a quest.
The game also likes to talk too much. I'm sure its for the "lore" and all that jazz, but I honestly don't care about half of the stuff they're yacking on about.
If I do manage to finish it, a replay is extremely unlikely.
I was actually speaking about the real vision from the books.
But they must make a game aswell, i think it would be pretty to do it and still show us all places like skellige and stuff.
My last Open-World new release was Dragon Age: Inquisition and I was very disapointed. Witcher 3 made up for that disapointment and so much more.
Novigrad! Amazing. It makes Orlais look laughable.
Questing is fun and interesting, even if it's just a (supposedly)generic monster contract.
The characters are all written well and have believeable motivations/reactions.
The environment is beautiful. Skelliage in particular is awe inspiring.
There were many tear-jerker moments, many gasp-out-loud moments and quite a few laughs. The facial animations are all awesome, you can see what emotion they're feeling just by looking at them.
The new monsters ver very interesting, like Godlings, Fiends, and Griffins.
Just an all around great game as a fan of the Witcher. My subjective review.
I should be clearer in my initial post. I take Witcher 3 over Witcher 2 anyday but only because it open world and there more to do than the Witcher 2 so higher replay values plus mods when it eventually get release.
I like the monsters designs, armors, npcs armors, companions (Triss, etc...), Geralt himself, environments, Saskia Vyvern, and difficult combat over the Witcher 3 but that doezn't mean Witcher 3 isn't a better bang for your buck.
This game is just incredible to me, it meets almost all my expectations and even more except for the combat(it can be frustrating at times)
this was a well $50 spent that I do not regret, cant wait for the DLC's to come out and get the season pass.
I spend $32 bucks on the Witcher 2 and felt I got ripoff but only because it was short. Witcher 2 was one of the very few games like MGS Substance and KOTOR that I never wanted it to end. It was that good so obviously my expectation for Witcher 3 was low.
I guess a Witcher 2 + open world will never happen. That to me would be the ideal Witcher 3.
