Tower Outta Nowheres (Invisible man)
During the quest "The Tower Outta Nowheres", begun in Urialla Harbor, An Skellig (the north-eastern-most Skellige isle), I happened to bump into an invisible man in the room of the tower where the library key is initially located. For reference, the room to which I'm referring can be seen in this video at the time 7:23 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Phih2ym1F2o The invisible man's initial location seemed to be a couple of strides to the left of the box containing the library key; perhaps, if visible, the man could be seen right between the middle and right edge of the video at time 7:37, between the corner of the table with the open floating book and the crate to the left of the box containing the library key.

I couldn't initiate any dialogue with the man, only bump into him and hear one of the typical grunts assigned to npc's who've been bumped. I figured he might become relevant later in the quest and moved on, eventually completing the quest.

Can anyone confirm the existence of this guy? This is merely a curiosity of mine, but I'd still like to know if this is unique to my game.

I was only using the video as a reference for the location that I was trying to describe. The person in the video doesn't walk over the spot where I first bumped into the guy. Possibly as a result, he doesn't bump into the man at all.

That's definitlely a bug. You sure you weren't just hearing things?

I did this quest several days ago. The final monster was pretty hilarious.

While I wasn't sure of what happened the first time I bumped him, the second accidental bump made me certain. After my second collision with him, I continued bumping him around a few more times before calling it quits and moving on. His model even traveled slightly when bumped as a typical npc would.

I was lucky enough to have an autosave close to that point in the game. I went back to the room and brought out the green magic lamp to see if, by chance, I happened upon a specter, but no dice.

It's the defense of the tower talking to you. You can't talk to him or anything.

I appreciate your contribution and attempt to help, but I have a feeling that you read either very little or none of my original post and, as a result, don't understand fully what this thread is about.

Just had this happen to me and did a google search, which brought me here, to see if it happened to anyone else or if it was intentional. Can confirm I'm bumping into an invisible man as well and it's not just the tower talking to you. Wonder why he's there...

I bumped into him on my first play-through. There's also an invisible female npc in the tower on Fyke Isle. Dunno if they're bugs or for something else, though.

I just finished the quest and did bump into that same invisible man. At first I though it might be a mage hiding or something other story related. Unfortunately, the lack of any information on the matter makes me think this invisible man is just used by the devs as a source of the tower voice or something like that.

I too have just found this... Googling brought me to this page. Weird!
I'll see if I can get a video.

I tweeted CDPR, maybe they will answer why he's there? https://twitter.com/smashman2004/status/739449739666722816

Neat! Potential answers! Thanks for caring enough to make the video. Greatly clarifies what I was trying to get at in the first post. Mind if I edit the first post to tack your info on (with reference of course) to save some people some scrolling?
Five months later, Google brought me here, as well. I assumed that the guy you were helping was actually stealing the tower, and that the family sold it on auction because the real owner accidentally made himself invisible, leading the family to be all, "Oh, whelp, crap, he must be dead." And, being a mage with his own tower, he's obviously going to be so absent minded that he doesn't even notice the tower going berserk. It'll take care of itself, right? That's what the defense module is for.
