I will actually pay for an alternative look to Dandelion
I know he's meant to be a self-loving, artiste... haha, but seriously, what the F? Dressed in pink silk and has a foofy wispy moustache? :\ I will pay if I have to, please give us a change to that horrid look Mr. D has going on!!!

PLEASE :steamsad:

He is so dandy tho!

I guess they could make something along the lines of his witcher 2 outfit

I like the way he looks. Fits his personality perfectly.

Dandelion is Jaskier I presume. He is a bit caricatural, but I dont see the problem.

Dandelion, too funny in phonetic that means ; Lion s teeth ... we are far from the character.

I just don't understand how his voice during narration is not even close to being from the same person as in game.. No amount of age can explain that either. It's just blatantly someone else.

I just imagin its someone reading his writings in the future.

As for his looks i think they fit him well enough although he does stand out abit to much perhaps.

I'd trade Dandelion to Dragon Age: Inquisition for Dorian and a first rounder.

Unfortunately, nobody from Inquisition would fall for that deal.

I've loved these games since game 1, but I've never understood the love for Dandelion, and it's partly how silly he looks. He doesn't charm me, I find Zoltan a lot more likeable.

a bit out of topic. Do you know other characters who have a different name in the english version ?

Probably a hold-over from the books. Nobody in-universe could understand why Geralt hung out with him either.

Yennefer knows, and she thanks him at some point for being his friend

She can read minds. It's kinda cheating, at that point.

The dudes name is Dandelion...he is a frilly dude. If I met someone named Dnadelion in real life and they WEREN'T dressed like him...I would be even more weirded out.

Johnny is one of them. In the russian/polish/slavic culture having a godling who leaves in a bog named Johnny is kinda funny,

Dandelion is one, but if you translate his name directly, he is called after the plant Ranunculus. Obviously not the best of names, so Dandelion it is

Im sure there is more but I can't remember right now

Played all three games, couldn't manage to find anything likeable or interesting about Zoltan or Dandelion. Zoltan is just a generic dwarf while Dandelion is a good-for-nothing Lord-of-nowhere. The only thing they've got going for them is their friendship with Geralt. That friendship makes Geralt appear more human and approachable when he is not killing monsters.

In fairness, any character named Johnny in a world where Geralt, Yennefer, Triss, Vessamir, Cirilla, Emyr var Atra, and Ava'loch are all perfectly valid names that no one bats an eye at is going to sound out of place.

I mean, there isn't an abundance of Seans, Connors, Erics, Kyles, Ryans, and Bradleys in this world. I'm in the States, and I thought Johnny was an incredibly weird name for a kid in the village, let alone a godling in a swamp.

But then, I felt the same way about Sarah in Novigrad. Maybe that's the point. Our mundane equals their exotic, so monsters get them.
