Please help against this OP werewolf
So im doing this level 6 quest when i am level 7 and i find it nearly impossible (like litteraly most of the game) i have to somehow beat this werewolf on this level 6 quest that has a insannnnneeee ammount of health and can deflect damage super easy, he is level 9 so i dont even see why he is anywhere near the quest area and when i try to fight him i hit him for about 100 points or something (i dont really check) and then 2 seconds later he just gains every bit of the health back, can someone help me please? do i need a rocket launcher armed with silver bullets or a cross of jesus christ? what am i doing wrong?

Do you have cursed oil yet? Also try using a thunderbolt potion and be aware that they're vulnerable to fire. Igni, dancing star bombs etc

you can ignore the wolf, there's a hidden passage trough the tree, you need to go in there

if you walk normal the wolf will do nothing, but don't go close to him.
and right beside where the wolf is sitting, you can see a cave. go in there

There's also a place of power back behind the werewolf. Drain the place to increase your power. It helped me. I think it might've been a quen increase...maybe igni. But, like others have said, try certain oils/bombs. Witcher gams have alwasy required a bit of understanding. You can also go into your glossary, and look under the beast section. It'll tell you what each creature has a weakness towards.

I mean yeah you could do that. Or you could not be a bleeding vagina and kill the werewolf.

You've got to use potions, bombs and oils to kill tough enemies. Avoiding him will teach you nothing. He's not the last werewolf nor even the toughest werewolf you'll face. Learn how to kill him and it'll help you later on in the game against tougher enemies. Always check the bestiary when encountering a new enemy.

how do i make bombs?
Tusken GA Aug 2, 2015 @ 4:03pm
What level is your gear? Have you upgraded Igni?

Bombs are made in the alchemy menu; you may not have the ingredients though. If you do, the bomb to make is Grapeshot or Dancing Star. Werewolves have regenerating health (which I'm sure you noticed) and a fire has a constant health draw while it's active.

Grapeshot causes some fire damage, Dancing Star causes a lot of fire damage, and Igni is a fire spell.

Moon Dust Bomb is what you're missing. Stops all the regen effects that make him so challenging.
