(FIXED) Mouse buttons and Keyboard won't work

So here's this issue that I found that makes it impossible to play the game. As soon as I open up the game, my mouse and keyboard works fine, I can press space to skip the beginning credits and all that. But as soon as I make it to the main menu, with Geralt kneeling, my hardware stops working. A little loading symbol appears in the bottom right corner of my screen. I can still move my cursor around, and I can still access the steam community overlay, but I can't click on anything on the main menu! If I move my mouse to click on "Continue" nothing will happen. My keyboard is the same, I can't use "enter" or "e" to continue playing the game. Someone please help, I can't play the game until this is fixed! Thanks for the feedback!

(UPDATE)

I just recently noticed that the loading symbol will only appear if I click my mouse or press a button on my keyboard. If I make it to the main menu and don't press anything, the symbol won't appear. But as soon as I press "Continue", then the loading symbol appears and I can't do anything, I'm stuck on the main screen.

The answer to my problem was so easy I can't believe that I couldn't figure it out earlier. I was once playing the game before this whole fiasco and I died. I tried to load the most recent save but it said there was some sort of error and the save could not be loaded so I quit the game and tried again. Once I made it to the main menu screen, I clicked on continue to try to load the most recent save. This is when the loading symbol appeared and wouldn't go away. My game was trying to load a corrupt save file, thus the never ending loading symbol. To fix this, I restarted the game and made it to the main menu. I was able to use my arrow keys to scroll down to "Load Save" where I was then able to load a previous, non-corrupt save. Thank you for all your support anyway!

Sounds like TW3 is losing focus in windows, maybe? Do you have the game running in windowed mode? If so, try alt/tab to regain focus for TW3 and switch the game to full screen mode.
Also, if you have a controller plugged into your computer, unplug it.

I don't run TW3 in windowed mode, always in fullscreen mode. I tried what you said, alt-tabbing, then re-opening and nothing happened. Also, I can't make my game run in windowed mode if I can't click anything. I think it has something to do with the loading symbol that won't go away in the bottom right corner. Remember, I can move my cursor around, but I can't click anything. Also, I don't have a controller plugged in.
