The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Statistiche:
Anyone know how to get more socket for weapon and armor?
Sometime when I craft, I get weapons and armor with a socket, and sometime I don't get any, how does getting more socket work? Is it random?

Not quite a good answer but I've noticed that Relic Items collection with 3 sockets is massive as the world is massive itself.
Not sure if it's worth crafting mate.

Typically from what I've noticed, is that common items will usually have one to no sockets for runes. Rare weapons or armor and enhanced Witcher gear will have 1 to 2 sockets, magical weapons or armor and superior Witcher gear will have 2-3 sockets. And master crafted will have 3 sockets right out of the gate most times. I've seen some master crafted only have 1 socket, I.E random master crafted silver swords you pick up during treasure hunts.

Legendary Wolven Mastercrafted Trousers has four slots. Good luck getting that without cheating but it's there, in the game regardless.
That's blatantly false. It seems the max number of sockets on trousers is 2.

To answer the OP's question, one of the DLCs (I think it's Hearts of Stone) adds a Runewright from Zerrikania that can add sockets up to that gear item's max. So swords and amor can have sockets added up to 3. I haven't tried adding sockets to socketless gauntlets or trousers. However, I am not able to get the Runewright to add more sockets to gauntlets or trousers when they have one and two sockets, respectively. There seems to be a maximum number of sockets for each type of armor that cannot be exceeded, even with the Runewright.
