Choosing A Bomb To Destroy Nests
Is there a way to choose a particular bomb to destroy a nest? I had Samum selected when I destroyed a drowner nest, yet one of my grapeshots was used.

There is only certain bombs that destroy the nests, they are the ones which actually do damage, can't remember where I read this but not aware if you can pick which one to use to be honest.

Samum and grapeshot at least work against the nests. However, Samum does not do damage normally. I have no idea which one the game selects to use, and why.
cannot select one, it is chose automatically, and only certain of them can destroy a nest

Samum will destroy nests.
I think its samum, grape shot and dancing star. They are the only 3. Dunno how to select what one to use though. maybe it uses the one you havent equipped.

I just walk on top of it and the prompt comes up, select 'F' (E standard on keyboard), and he drops a bomb in. I used to throw but this is more straightforward.

When it doesn't work I have to remember to meditate to refill all bombs, so he has the one he needs to destroy the nest. :)

It always works. If you do not have proper bombs, you will not automatically throw it.

I think it throws the bomb you have currently selected, if that bomb is useful for destroying nests. Otherwise it picks an useful bomb out of your inventory at random I guess..

There is also one issue I will mention here. I still have this bug in 1.07 version.
If you destroy the nest and leave 1 item inside, go away for a moment and come back, you can loot indefinitely, all the same items.

You can't. It's auto.

Sure you can, leave 1 item in the looting screen and get away or turn away from the nest and then retry.

I think he meant that you can't choose, it's auto-selected. (in response to the op's question)

I think Koromac is a tad quick to respond, rather than take a few extra moments to comprehend.

Not in my experience. I wanted to use a Samun, unloaded both slots of bombs, put only Samun in one slot, the only bombs that were equipped, and it used a grapeshot from my inventory. I thought I was losing my mind! Fargain Auto select did it 3 more times in a row, so I guess I have no choice.
