i just discovered thge pali gap close
is there a quest here and how do i activate it
if not
what is in the cave and how do i open it further

It is quest bound later in the mainquest. There is no way to get inside before that.

I have also noticed that the fast travel point outside of it vanishes as soon as a leave the area every time
