Witch Hunters keep harrasing in Novigrad
There is a group of 4 hostile lvl31 Witch Hunters in certain area in Novigrad and they attack me on-sight. I just let them kill me to get rid of them, but when Geralt wakes up they are still there and attack again.

What could I do? They practically prevent me progressing with mission called "Of Dairy And Darkness". I've tried Fast Travel, but they are still there. Actually they have been there already for a quite long time, but I have been avoiding them so far.

I presume they are something like level +13 from you, something like that ? Just kill them all,but be aware you will gain no xp for this.

You are right, they are much higher level, and therefore killing them will take some time. I actually tried that once, but had to flee since some Novigrad guards also joined the fight - attacking me!

But, you had the same problem and they did not re-appear after killing them?

I never had the same prb, I just tried to turn guard and witch hunter angry to test them. However I was higher level than your geralt probably is. When you re over 26 / 28 guards are beatable even they attack you at 4 vs 1 and are over lvl +12.
You seems to have a specific prb. Even I provoke guards, if I kill them and walk next street, when combat is over, others guard don't attack me.
Unless someone have a solution for you, I fear you will have to load a save where situation is ok. Fight a couple of guards could be ok, but all guards you meet to the end of time is an other matter.
Just whip their arses like a Novigrad wh◙re. They're just a bunch of ploughin' wh◙resons anyway.

I think I read somewhere that this is a rare glitch (it did not happen to me, at least) in the "Novigrad, closed city" quest. If I remember correctly, they were supposed to ambush you, you were supposed to kill them, but for some people they keep respawning.

If you have that quest in progress in your journal, but not completed, maybe if you select the quest and kill them while the quest is active, it might help?

If it's the witch hunters that you confront for harrasing some folks those dudes will aggro on you and their level 40 something. Best to run away and throw bombs at them for fun they will never despawn.

I have completed "Novigrad, closed city" -quest long time ago. In fact, those hunters started attacking me so long time ago, I can't remember what happened before that. It's only now that there is a problem advancing in "Of Dairy And Darkness" -quest, because I'd need to enter one building (I think), but those hunters are on the area and Geralt goes into combat mode.

Tried once killing them, managed to kill two crossbow-hunters, but then I was bit careless and one hunter one-hit-killed me with his sword. But, will try again once I gain few levels.
Thank you for everyone trying to help!

PS. this game is absolutely fantastic!

Update: after gaining few levels I went for a kill and this time hunters dropped quickly and whole fight was over in few seconds. I was then able to proceed with the quest.
Btw, I just recently "discovered" concoctions: so far I had pretty much neglected them as useless fancy stuff. But then I re-arranged skill points and got huge boost to poison tolerance. Therefore I can take two concoctions before battle and I still can use potions during the battle. And yes, they are powerfull!
